This event will feature two full length shows, previewed at the Darlington Comedy Festival before they debut at the Edinburgh Festival.

Dan Nightingale

Dan Nightingale

One of British Stand-Ups hidden gems; Dan Nightingale is one of the best performers found on the comedy circuit today. Mixing brilliant observation and energetic characterisations with killer punch lines his comedy is original, playful, intelligent, exciting, sometimes ridiculous but always hilarious. He’s a natural with the crowd, bouncing off any audience interaction wonderfully, making him a much sought after host and MC. Yet he’s also an inventive writer and a great storyteller and his comedy sets, whether supporting or headlining, are a chance to see the full variety of his superb material and clever stagecraft.

And If you really push him he’ll admit to being an excellent swimmer and a near genius in the field of gourmet cheese on toast.

“Nightingale can make just about anything funny. He’s lightning-quick” - TimeOut

“pretty damn funny” - Fest

“Exciting and imaginative” - Edinburgh Evening News

Danny McLoughlin

Danny McLoughlin - The Truth, The Half Truth and Nothing Like The Truth

Quick wits and sharp material have seen Danny McLoughlin quickly establish himself on the circuit. With performances in the prestigious Big Value Comedy Show during Edinburgh Festival 2009 & 2010 he has since progressed to performing regularly at some of the biggest gigs in the country whilst also supporting acts such as Sean Lock, Micky Flanagan & Al Pitcher on their UK tours.

Join one of the best of the new crop of acts breaking through for a debut hour of stand up and see why he's widely tipped as a name to look out for.

“ McLoughlin's main weapon is his audacity: he's so bold he can recite an advertising jingle and still get plenty of laughs” - Chortle
