Chris Ramsey

2011 Fosters Comedy Award Nominee Chris Ramsey returns to The Edinburgh Festival in 2012 with his 3rd solo show ‘Feeling Lucky’.

As seen on Celebrity Juice, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Russell Howard’s Good News and countless other TV shows, as well as extensively touring the UK supporting Russell Kane and Al Murray – and on his own debut sell-out UK solo tour, Chris brings his show to preview at Hilarity Bites once again.

“High quality consistently funny observational material” - The Guardian

“One of the best” - The Times

“Brilliantly engaging natural storyteller” - Evening Standard

Jason Cook

Jason Cook

Jason Cook isn't performing at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival, but people ask so often when they can see him in Darlington again that he's decided to come and perform alongside his good mate Chris Ramsey as he starts to work on some material for his show in 2013.

In a year that has seen his sitcom Hebburn commissioned by the BBC, Jason's days seem to revolve around working with a top-class bunch of comedians bringing his words to life. However, audiences should be ready for pretty much anything when Jason takes to the stage. Behind his cheerful Geordie exterior lurks a dark, sharp comedic mind capable of taking an unsuspecting audience to places they didn’t want to go. Jason has a way of presenting true-to-life stories that drag you in and won’t let go, close to the edge but always intriguing and blessed with the sort of charm that’ll have you laughing in spite of yourself.

“the best MC this side of anywhere…. Geordie genius” - TimeOut

“A fantastic display of quick witted, playful comedy…His familial tales in particular are so incredibly well told they evoke an almost everyman quality about Cook that makes him an extremely endearing comic” - GiggleBeats

“conclusively proves he can produce an hour of joyously uplifting and playfully honest hilarity simply from being a damn fine comedian, no emotional manipulation required. …Jason Cook has more funny in his middle toe than most comics do in their whole body…..Fear not, Cook has produced the goods yet again” - Chortle
