Darlington Comedy Festival

Hilarity Bites Comedy Club returns to Darlington Civic Theatre in July as part of the second annual Darlington Comedy Festival.

Following the huge sell-out success of last year's event, which featured top TV names such as Sarah Millican and Pete Firman, the Darlington Comedy Festival once more kicks-off with a huge charity Gala Show in aid of four local charities.

Once more, the night will raise money for Butterwick Hospice, Darlington Association on Disability, St Teresa's Hospice and Daisy Chain, with the gala featuring audience favourite acts from Hilarity Bites shows of the past alongside some big name comedians that we're not allowed to reveal until closer to the date.

Taking part in this year's star studded event are:

Tim Vine - Live at the Apollo (BBC1), Not Going Out (BBC1), QI (BBC2)

Justin Moorhouse - Phoenix Nights (Channel 4), Fighting Talk (BBC Radio 5), Everyone Quite Likes Justin (BBC Radio 4)

Patrick Monahan - Show Me The Funny Winner 2011 (ITV), Let's Dance For Sports Relief (BBC1)

Rayguns Look Real Enough - Latitude Festival, T in the Park, Download

Silky - The Stand-Up Show (BBC1), The World Stands Up (Paramount)

Gavin Webster - Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), Walk on the Wild Side (BBC1)

...and more to be announced.
