Darlington Comedy Festival

Hilarity Bites Comedy Club returns to Darlington Civic Theatre in July as part of the third annual Darlington Comedy Festival.

Following the sell-out success of the last two years, which featured top TV names such as Sarah Millican, Chris Ramsey, Patrick Monahan, Tim Vine, Pete Firman, Justin Moorhouse and Jason Cook, the Darlington Comedy Festival once more kicks-off with a huge charity Gala Show in aid of four local charities.

Once more, the night will raise money for Butterwick Hospice, Darlington Association on Disability, St Teresa's Hospice and Daisy Chain, with the gala featuring audience favourite acts from Hilarity Bites shows of the past alongside some big name comedians that we're not allowed to reveal until closer to the date.

Taking part in this year's star studded event are:

Patrick Monahan - Show Me The Funny Winner 2011 (ITV), Let's Dance For Sports Relief (BBC1)

The Boy With Tape On His Face - Multi-award winner, as seen on the Royal Variety Performance, The Comedy Prom, Tape Face Tapes (BBC3)

Seymour Mace - Hebburn (BBC2), Ideal (BBC2), Dave's One Night Stand

Rob Rouse - 8 Out of 10 Cats (C4), Dave's One Night Stand, Friday Night Project (C4)

Ray Bradshaw - Tour support for Ardal O'Hanlon, Des Clark. BBC warm-up for several TV and radio shows.

Rob Deering - The UK’s foremost guitar-wielding, loop-layering stand-up comedian, Celebrity Weakest Link (BBC1), 99 Things To Do Before You Die (Channel 5)

Carl Hutchinson - Multi-award winner, and tour support for Chris Ramsey.

...and more to be announced.
