Darlington Comedy Festival Charity Gala

Following three years at Darlington Civic Theatre, the fourth annual Darlington Comedy Festival Charity Gala takes place at The Dolphin Centre in 2015.

Past shows have featured top TV names such as Sarah Millican, Chris Ramsey, Patrick Monahan, Tim Vine, Pete Firman, Justin Moorhouse and Jason Cook.

Once more, the night will raise money for local charities, with the gala featuring audience favourite acts from Hilarity Bites shows of the past alongside some big name comedians that we can't reveal until closer to the date.

Already announced as taking part in this year's event are:

Patrick Monahan - Patrick is just finishing a national and international tour, and has starred on ITV's Celebrity Squares and Fake Reaction, BBC's Let's Dance For Comic Relief and was the winner of ITV's Show Me The Funny, and Fox TV's Man Up.

Carl Donnelly - Double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Carl Donnelly has appeared on various TV and radio shows, including Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Good News, and various shows on 5live and Talksport.

Jonny Awsum - Jonny Awsum exploded onto the professional comedy scene with a crowd-pleasing set that's seen him perform his special feel-good brand of musical comedy around the world. Audience members don't just leave entertained, they leave as fans.

Alun Cochrane - Alun has been doing solo stand-up shows at the Edinburgh Festival since 2004. He is heard on Radio 4 in 'Alun Cochrane's Fun House', 'Just A Minute' and has performed his observational autobiographical comedy on various stand-up and panel shows on TV. He is affectionately known as 'The Cockerel' on Absolute Radio's Frank Skinner show and podcast.

...and more to be announced.
