Mark Nelson

Mark Nelson

Winner, Best Headliner - 2016 Scottish Comedy Awards

Since winning the inaugural Scottish Comedian of the Year Award in 2006, barely a year after his first-ever open-spot, Mark Nelson’s mix of dark humour, cutting observations and superb one-liners have seen him firmly established as one of the UK’s biggest-hitting comedy powerhouses.

With a likeable manner on stage belying some of the stronger content, Nelson often has audiences laughing at things they know they really shouldn’t be laughing at. A degree in politics supports his brilliantly topical writing and, although his stand-up is certainly not for the easily offended, the material is intelligent, well conceived and beautifully crafted, all supported by a very confident delivery.

Mark has sold out his hour-long shows at seven Glasgow International Comedy Festivals, all of which received rave reviews. In 2011 he signed to 2Entertain, BBC Worldwide’s video distribution label, and Mark's debut radio series 'Mark Nelson’s Guide To Marriage' broadcast in December 2013 and won the Scottish Comedy Awards Radio prize. Mark has also supplied material for ITV1's 'Jason Manford's A Funny Old Week', and three series of BBC's 'Russell Howards’ Good News', and he is very much in-demand as headlining act across the UK, Ireland and beyond.

“Mark Nelson possesses a talent that is simply obscene…You’ll want to see what the all the fuss is about, his act definitely reveals a star in the making. A remarkably accomplished stage manner with wonderfully crafted gags” - The List

“A viciously sharp sense of timing” - Metro

“Insightful and oftentimes dark material is tempered by a certain lighthearted playfulness. This is a stand-up show with no bells or whistles, no theme , no moral or clever twist to the tale. Just unadulterated jokes told by a comic bristling with confidence... Powerful punchlines hit the spot... devastatingly effective” - Chortle

Vince Atta

Vince Atta

Nothing less than a phenomenon, Vince Atta has the industry ignited! Using a multi-track looper and pedals, Vince creates live on-the-spot Hip-Hop/Reggae/Techno/anything, hilariously fusing it with natural stand-up, storytelling and characters, creating the most infectious songs you're ever likely to hear... it really is quite a show!

Since his musical reinvention, Vince is very much in demand playing regularly for clubs throughout the UK. He has also headlined across Europe in cities such as Barcelona, Zagreb, Warsaw, Budapest, Belgrade, Rijeka, Ljubljana, Maribor, Porec, Pazin and Varazdin.

Admired by audiences and peers alike; this unique, talented and incredibly funny act has to be seen to be believed!

“An unstoppable force! Like an intravenous shot of adrenaline!” - Chortle

“One of the circuit's most promising acts” - The Guardian

“Star of the future. Fact!” - Student Direct

Freddy Quinne

MC Freddy Quinne

The winner of the 2013 Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year competition, Freddy Quinne's "uniquely northern observational humour" (Lancashire Evening Post) has seen a meteoric rise into some of the biggest clubs in the country. Quinne couples "clever, well placed gags" (Pickled Egg) together with a vulnerable persona for a unique experience which combines to make "a real tour de force performance" (Alex Boardman).

In 2014 Freddy was MC for the late show for the Big Value Show at the Edinburgh Fringe, one of the most prestigious showcases at the festival, and he returned to the Fringe in 2015, where he hosted the AAA Comedy Showcase at the Pleasance Courtyard. He also MC'd a showcase for online magazine and comedy reviewers The Skinny, as part of the Liverpool Comedy Festival, and he currently acts as a resident MC for over half a dozen comedy nights across the country as well as regularly compering some of the biggest comedy venues in the UK, including Frog & Bucket, and Just the Tonic.

Freddy's willingness to break away from his set and involve the crowd leads for an engaging and memorable set backed up with frantic energy and raw emotion.

“An impeccable set... a great storyteller with immense potential” - Worksop Guardian

“The hilarious Freddy Quinne managed to quieten the two worst hecklers with one perfectly judged line” - eFestivals

“Quinne delighted the crowd with clever, well placed gags” - Pickled Egg
