Abi Roberts

Abi Roberts - Fat Girl Dancing: Work In Progress

BBC Radio 4 regular Abi Roberts returns with a new work-in-progress show flicking a V-sign, the finger and showing her arse to the consensus.

She asks the big questions like, “is Adele a pub singer who got lucky?” to “why are there no fat newsreaders?”, “would an all-female version of the Shawshank Redemption be utter shit?”, “is child-free some sort of dietary requirement” and “can types of snoring be analysed according to how fucking annoying they are?”.

Expect pomposity bubbles to be burst, sacred cows to be prodded and a set piece show ending guaranteed to send you away feeling happy!

“Raucous and just incredibly funny” - Daily Telegraph

An incredibly funny performer… a one of a kind comedian - Edinburgh Festivals Magazine

Ian Smith

Ian Smith - Snowflake: Work In Progress

Award-winning comedian Ian Smith (BBC3's Sweat the Small Stuff, BBC1's The Ark) returns with his fourth solo show. It's about uniqueness... like everybody else's.

It's also about a place called Tromso where Ian nearly killed a man in a sledding accident.

Amused Moose Best Show Nominee 2015 and one third of top-charting podcast, The Magic Sponge.

“Proper star quality” - The Guardian

“You’d do well to catch him now before his inevitable jump to the big time” - The Telegraph

“Ian Smith’s carefully crafted five-star act is one of the best you will see at the festival” - The Mirror

Tom Toal

Tom Toal - Better Than Before: Work In Progress

Fresh off supporting Rob Brydon on tour, TT returns with a show about following dreams and one terrifying phone call.

Amused Moose Best Show Nominee 2014.

“Toal captivates his audience with a unique brand of narrative comedy, that is as delightful to listen to as it is superbly funny” - Punchline

“Highly recommended show” - Fringe Review

“In his own bumbling way, Toal is in fact rather subversive, proving that you can be both soft and edgy” - Broadway Baby

Lou Conran

Lou Conran: I Love Lou C: Work In Progress

(I'm in my dressing gown, eating boiled eggs, bear with...) Right, imagine visiting your favourite friend/aunty/spinster/woman of independent means. She's a touch eccentric and always "alright". Until last year, when it wasn’t alright and it all went a bit wrong.

With lessons learned, a bit of self-discovery and some painful yet funny situations, this is a story about life and, ultimately, death. But in a positive, uplifting sort of way.

As seen on BBC, ITV & Channel 4. And recently heard on R4's Woman's Hour.

“Naturally funny” - Sarah Millican

“Masterful at owning a room” - FringeReview.co.uk

Seymour Mace

Seymour Mace’s Magical Shitcakes From Heaven: Work In Progress

2015 Edinburgh Comedy Award Nominee

This bit’s called the ‘blurb’ whatever the fuck that means. Anyway, I’m an idiot and I like being stupid so if that sounds like your kind of thing then get down to Darlington and laugh at me without feeling bad about it... or don’t... it’s up to you really... I mean, I know I’m not everybody’s cup of tea... anyway, fuck it!

Come, don’t come, whatever. God I’m good at self promotion... please come.
